The basic principle behind weight loss nutrition is very simple, easy to follow and effective.  The principle is achieving good health through balanced nutrition.  And healthy body means less fat around your waist and tummy.

Now the million dollar question for all obese people is how is it simple and easy to follow?  Weight loss nutrition is nutrition which has all the ingredients to keep your body healthy.  All healthy nutrition emanates from natural vegetable sources.  What better than a wide variety of greens and fruits along with veggie foods that can give you all the nutrients required by the body.  Weight loss nutrition is as simple as that.

Let us see the easy part now.

A cholesterol and fat free breakfast

Start the Day with an oatmeal breakfast.   It is loaded with calcium, proteins, iron and B complex vitamins.  This also contains soluble fibers that can help reduce cholesterol and make you feel full.  To make it a interesting and tasty breakfast top it with some good cholesterol reducing fruits such as avocadoes.  It helps to build high density lipoproteins and provides a good dose of fiber.

Low Calorie mid Morning Snacks

Nothing like a handful of raisins if you are feeling a little tired and want some refreshment.  Raisins are low in calories and rich in iron and fiber.

Fat Free Lunch

We are advocating veggie foods all along as nature has the best food for weight loss nutrition.  The thumb rule for lunch whatever you eat is to keep it less than 400 calories. Ideally a wheat bread combination with mayonnaise and lettuce topped up with a bowl of fruits and some should be fine.  If this seems too little you may add a garden pasta salad or any other salad of your choice.

A Slimmer Dinner to Keep the weight Off

You may start with a hot vegetable clear soup.  ½ cup of brown rice with steamed broccoli and a strawberry sundae for dessert should just be fine.  Keep it about 200 calories.

A good weight loss nutritional plan should be about 1500 to 1800 calories depending on the kind of work schedule and physical activities you have.  Develop your own recipes on similar lines set out above and include other health foods with low calories, make them delicious by experimenting with different recipes.  A healthy veggie meal should should be enough for a lifelong weight control.
